Everyone swears by aftermarket triggers in ARs. I tried one, shot my stock trigger back-to-back, couldn't tell enough difference to justify the cost for my skill level. Maybe competition shooters need that, but for my purposes, mil-spec works fine. Not every upgrade is necessary for every shooter.

When I put together an AR I use polished triggers and hammers. They only cost a fewe bucks more and make it a bit smoother. That's good enough for me.

People kept telling me to swap out my trigger, but I never did. I stuck with the stock one and just practiced more. My shooting got better without needing to spend extra cash.

As a certified instructor and match winner i can tell you that some lessons from a real trained and proven instructor and practice can do much more than a light trigger. Much of the internet and untrained instructors is full of misinformation. Proper trigger control is crucial o accurate shooting. One idiotic myth is that a gun should surprise you when it goes off or a trigger should break like glass. I moderately light trigger can help but a fast trigger is best. Slow pulls are not the best at all. My gun goes off the instant I see the sight picture i want. Long slow pulls mean you waver off target before the bullet leaves the barrel.
