My first deer tag

The first deer season I ever drew a tag, I sat in a stand for six days and saw nothing. On the last morning, a buck walked out 40 yards away and I was frozen solid and I missed... I came back the next year ready.

Chuckle.... Being ...old as dirt... If I remember correctly, as a teenager my first deer tag was over the counter at $2.50..... I think a resident or resident land owner elk tag then was about $7.50.... (?)
