I'm really excited about diving into competitive shooting. I've researched some places where they hold official events, which is great, but I'm having trouble when it comes to finding spots for solo practice and training.

Do you guys happen to know any ranges or facilities where I can hone my skills on my own?

Um.... Back in the mostly double action revolver days, my big brother the chief deputy used to tell his deputies to put an off color thumb tack in the bedroom ceiling over the bed.. Practice dry firing at the thumbtack until you could do so without loosing your site picture.. This would help there range time a lot.. Tack in the ceiling so your arms don't get so tired and practice with both hands... I suppose this would work with most any of todays popular semi autoloaders..

Besides.... It is likely to drive some women crazy, or they will want there own thumbtack to practice on.... Good luck..
