Accuracy difference between production handguns

Is it just me, or do some production handgun rounds seem to shoot better than others? Or are they all fairly equal?

I’ve started keeping a mental log of what each gun “likes,” and it’s great to experience how picky some of them can be. In my experience, not all production ammo is created equal. Trying out a variety of brands and bullet weights is definitely worth it because you’re likely to find that one load your gun really loves.

My favorite 9 MM is a H&K VP9. I won a match with it.

I’ve noticed that some loads really click with certain barrels. There are pistols that shoot 124 gr great but struggle with 115s. Then there are others that do just the opposite. For me it's not that the “bad” ammo is unsafe. Sometimes, it’s just not compatible for that specific gun.
