Have you experienced or noticed any winter-related handling problems like stiff movements, safety oversights or glove interference that influenced how you think about firearm safety in cold conditions?

I used to hunt and shoot in the winter a lot. The main thing is that used Moly or Graphite dry lube, now I just use light synthetic gun lube. You have no allow for bulky clothes for mounting your gun. Cold is not a big problem bird hunting as I walk a lot as long as I wear wind stopping gear. I used to hunt in Iowa until the end of January. Deer hunting, I use those chemical heaters that you shake in my gloves and boots and dress warmer. Keeping scopes dry is an issue. Use scope covers and careful not to breath or put hand close to lens. I've had to clean snow out of gun barrels. Having a pull through gun cleaners is a thought. I tried hunting on skis and snow shoes, lots of work. Earlier this winter I went through the ice hunting in cattails. I got wet up to my knee and had lots of trouble getting out. I also got very winded trying to get out. It flashed through my mind, 78 year old hunter found dead in slough stuck in ice. Thank God I got out and had Christian friend nearby tp warm up at over by Cokato.
