I love fishing northern pike

Yes, both Leech Lake and Mille Lacs are prime. Leech has numbers, Mille Lacs has size. I usually throw big spoons or jerkbaits, but honestly, a sucker minnow under a bobber will get hammered too.

They're aggressive, that's why I love them.

Never tried Lac Seul, but I've heard legends about it. How's the average size compared to Mille Lacs? Worth the trip if you're after just one monster pike?

Absolutely worth trip. Lots of high 30" and a few 40". I've quit fishing for pike in Minnesota and live in Bemidji.

Here's a Lake Pepin 44 ".

Are Leech Lake and Mile Lacs good for fishing northern pike? I just love it.
They certainly are!! I to enjoy fishing for pike, especially in the fall months with big minnows. The power runs of big pike are something to behold. Like TheHack indicated, pike fishing in this state had been slipping for years. Fall fishing for them used to produce a number of high 30's and a 40 or two in a good year in this state, but today that is a tough order....
