Can you remember the first car you learned to drive?

As a kid on the ranch, my ...first drive... was several tractors my dad and uncles bought on ...veteran preferance... after 1945.. We also had several Ford made Jeeps on the place.. One of which never had a license plate or never left the propperty... No facts to prove, disprove this, but rumor always had it that one of my crazy uncles ...liberated... this vehicle from military ownership...

Well the family had several v8 Plymouth/Chrysler vehicles and 1 Volkswagen Rabbit. A big ole green station wagon and a Newport. I didn’t buy a car until about my 3rd year in college. Straight 6 AMC Hornet $700. Classic bought from a retired librarian. Looked like no one had ever sat in the back seat. Traded that to my sister for a camera before I went overseas.
